Acura TLX · End of Production
Acura has stopped building the TLX. The 2025 model year was the last one, so there are no new TLX sedans arriving at Elk Grove Acura or any other Acura store. Used and certified pre-owned TLX models are still out there, and we still sell, service and stock parts for them.
The short answer
Yes, the Acura TLX is discontinued. Acura ended production of the TLX, and the 2025 model year was the final one. The Integra is now Acura's only sedan. If you want a TLX, a used or certified pre-owned example is the way to get one — and Elk Grove Acura continues to service every TLX on the road.
Acura built the TLX for just over a decade as its mid-size sport sedan, and ended production to focus on the parts of its lineup that customers were actually buying. The decision is part of a much wider shift: luxury sedan demand has been falling for years while compact and mid-size SUVs have taken over, and the TLX is one of several sedans across the industry to be retired rather than redesigned.
That leaves the Integra as the only sedan Acura still sells new. Looking ahead, Acura's next new nameplate is the RSX, an electric SUV built on Honda's dedicated EV platform rather than a sedan replacement. We put together a preview of the RSX if you want to see where the brand is heading.
The TLX Type S goes with it. The Type S was a trim of the TLX rather than a separate model, so the end of TLX production ends the Type S version too. If a turbocharged Type S is what you were after, the Integra Type S is the one still in production.
Most people who come to us asking about a new TLX end up in one of four places. Here is the honest version of each.
If you want the bigger three-row option, the MDX is the other end of the range. You can also browse all used inventory if you are open on model.
A discontinued model is not a bad buy, but it does change what matters when you shop. Three things worth knowing.
Parts and service are not going anywhere. Acura supports its vehicles long after production ends, and our parts and service departments work on TLX models every week. Discontinued does not mean unsupported.
Certified pre-owned is worth more on a model like this. A CPO TLX comes with a manufacturer-backed warranty and an inspection behind it, which matters more on a car you can no longer buy new. We wrote about why CPO coverage is worth more the further you live from a service department — the same logic applies here. You can see what is currently certified on our certified pre-owned page.
Know which years and trims you want before you shop. The TLX changed meaningfully across its run, and the final generation is a different car from the first. Our Acura TLX overview and the 2025 TLX specifications cover the trims, drivetrains and dimensions so you can narrow things down before you start looking at listings.
Nothing changes for you. Our service department is staffed by Acura-trained technicians and we stock genuine Acura parts for the TLX the same as for every other model in the range. Scheduled maintenance, warranty work, recalls, tires, brakes and bodywork all carry on exactly as before.
If anything, end of production is a good moment to get ahead of maintenance rather than behind it. Schedule service whenever you are due, and talk to us about the maintenance minder code on your dash if you are not sure what it is asking for.
Yes. Acura has ended production of the TLX. No new TLX sedans are being built, and none are arriving at dealerships as new inventory.
2025 was the final model year for the TLX. There is no 2026 TLX.
No. We no longer stock new TLX models and cannot order one, because Acura is no longer building them. We can help you find a used or certified pre-owned TLX, and we will tell you honestly what is realistic to find.
Nothing directly. Acura did not replace the TLX with another sedan — the Integra is now the only Acura sedan. The brand's next new model is the RSX, an electric SUV. Buyers cross-shopping from a TLX most often land on the Integra, the RDX or the ADX.
Yes. The Type S was a trim of the TLX, not a separate model, so it ends along with the car. The Integra Type S is still in production.
Yes, for as long as you own it. Our Acura-trained technicians service TLX models routinely and we stock genuine Acura parts for them. End of production does not affect warranty work, recalls or scheduled maintenance.
It can be. Parts and service support continue, and a discontinued model sometimes represents better value than one still in production. The things to weigh are condition, service history and whether a manufacturer-backed certified pre-owned warranty is available on the specific car you are looking at.
