Elk Grove Acura · Elk Grove, CA
320 horsepower. A short-throw six-speed manual. Brembo brakes, a helical limited-slip differential and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rubber. The most focused car Acura sells — and the one your dealer down the road probably cannot get.
The 2026 Acura Integra Type S is a 320-horsepower, front-wheel-drive performance hatchback built only with a six-speed manual transmission. It uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC engine, a helical limited-slip differential, Brembo front brakes and 19-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S summer tires. MSRP is $53,900 plus a $1,295 destination charge.
Every Integra is a good car. The Type S is a different exercise entirely. Acura did not bolt a body kit to an A-Spec and call it a day — every body panel forward of the A-pillars is unique to this model, the track is nearly three and a half inches wider up front, the engine is 33% larger in displacement, and the transmission choice is exactly one: you row it yourself.
It is also the rare performance car you can actually live with. Four seats, a five-door hatchback body, 24.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 60/40 folding seatbacks mean a mountain bike or a set of track wheels goes in the back and a passenger still gets class-leading rear legroom. That combination — genuine track credibility and genuine daily usability — is why Type S allocation gets spoken for quickly at every Acura store, ours included.
If you are cross-shopping trims, this is the table that matters. The Type S is not the top of a ladder — it is a separate car that happens to share a nameplate.

The heart of the Type S is a DOHC turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC four-cylinder — 33% more displacement than the 1.5-liter in the rest of the Integra range. It makes 320 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 lb-ft of torque from 2,600 to 4,000 rpm, on a 9.8:1 compression ratio with direct injection. Acura asks for 93-octane premium fuel; give it what it wants.
Then there is the noise. The Type S runs an active exhaust valve that stays civil in Comfort and turns the volume up in Sport+, complete with the overrun pops and bangs that turn a routine drive up Highway 16 toward the foothills into an event.
A short-throw six-speed manual with a lightweight single-mass flywheel is the only transmission offered. BMW, Audi and Mercedes-AMG do not give you this choice in this class. Acura removed the choice in the other direction.
Rev-Match Control blips the throttle on downshifts so every gear change lands clean. It can be switched off when you would rather do it yourself — and it makes a heel-toe novice look competent on day one.
A standard helical-type LSD puts 310 lb-ft to the pavement through the front axle without the tugging and scrabbling that ruins lesser front-drive performance cars on corner exit.
Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual change damping, steering weight, throttle mapping, exhaust volume and the digital cluster layout. Individual lets you keep the exhaust loud and the ride soft, which is the correct setting.
Power is the easy part. What separates the Type S from a fast front-driver is the hardware Acura put underneath it.
The MacPherson-strut front end uses a dual-axis design that separates steering and suspension loads, dramatically cutting the torque steer that normally comes with this much power through the front wheels. It is the same fundamental idea that makes the current generation of front-drive performance cars finally credible.
Front track grows to 64.0 inches and rear track to 63.5 inches — roughly 3.5 and 1.9 inches wider than a standard Integra. Stabilizer bars go up to 29.0 x 5.0 mm tubular in front and 20.5 mm solid at the rear to keep the body flat. The standard Adaptive Damper System is specially tuned for the Type S, with distinct damping curves in Comfort, Sport and Sport+ so the car can be genuinely comfortable on I-5 and genuinely stiff on a canyon road.
Front rotors measure 13.8 inches — 1.5 inches larger than any other Integra — in a two-piece design, clamped by Brembo four-piston monobloc aluminum calipers and fed cool air by ducts in the front fascia. Rear rotors grow to 12.0 inches. That combination is about fade resistance on the third hard stop, not just the first one.
The Type S rolls on lightweight 19 x 9.5-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels — a 10-spoke design inspired by the NSX Type S, and two pounds lighter each than the Integra A-Spec wheel. They are wrapped in 265/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S summer tires. Worth knowing before you buy: these are summer tires. In the Sacramento Valley that is a non-issue almost year-round, but if you make regular winter runs to Tahoe, plan on a second set of wheels and all-season or winter rubber. Our parts department can spec that for you.
The Type S is offered in six exterior colors and three Ultrasuede interior colors. Five of the six exteriors are premium colors that carry an additional charge; Solar Silver Metallic is the standard finish.

Note the one that stands out: Red Ultrasuede is available only with Platinum White Pearl. If that is the build you want, tell us early — it is an order, not something that shows up on a truck by accident. See the full range across the lineup on our 2026 Acura Integra colors page.
The Type S cabin seats four, not five — Acura traded the middle rear seat for a pair of properly bolstered outboard positions. Front seats are trimmed in perforated Ultrasuede with firmer bolsters and Type S embossed headrests, and the driver gets a 12-way power seat with power lumbar. Dark metal film trim, stainless-steel pedals and ambient LED cabin and door lighting finish the Type S Interior Sport Appearance Package.
The Acura Precision Cockpit digital instrument cluster changes layout with drive mode, including a dedicated performance view with a shift indicator.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Bluetooth streaming and a Qi wireless charging pad.
Speed, gear and navigation prompts land in your line of sight so your eyes stay where they belong.
A 530-watt, 16-speaker system developed by eight-time Grammy-winning producer Elliot Scheiner. It is one of the genuinely great audio systems at any price.
The five-door hatchback body gives the Type S 24.3 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats — a real advantage over the sedan-bodied performance cars it competes with. Fold the 60/40 seatbacks and a bike, a track-day tire set or a weekend’s luggage for four goes in without ceremony. Rear legroom stays at 37.4 inches, which is class-leading for the segment. Performance does not come at the expense of the safety content. The Type S is built on Acura’s Next-Generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure with new-generation front airbags designed to cradle the head and reduce brain-injury risk in offset collisions. The standard AcuraWatch suite uses a single-camera system with a wide field of view and long range, so Collision Mitigation Braking can distinguish between vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
Collision Mitigation Braking System with pedestrian detection, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation and Low-Speed Braking Control.
Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Advanced front, front side and front knee airbags, side curtain airbags, rear outboard side airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control and Rear Seat Reminder.

The Type S is a low-volume, allocation-limited car. Where you buy it changes what the experience is like — before delivery and for years after.
Type S build slots are limited and not every store gets one every month. Call us and we will tell you plainly what is allocated, what is in transit and what a realistic timeline looks like — instead of taking a deposit on a car nobody can promise.
The 2.0-liter turbo, the adaptive dampers and the six-speed manual all have service procedures that are specific to this car. Our Acura-certified technicians work on this platform with Acura tooling and Acura Genuine Parts — not a generic import shop’s best guess.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S rubber is fantastic ten months of the year in the Sacramento Valley and wrong for a February trip over the Sierra. Our parts team can spec a proper second wheel-and-tire set and our service department can handle the seasonal swap.
New Acura vehicles include a complimentary maintenance program covering factory-scheduled oil and filter changes with Acura Genuine Oil, tire rotations and multipoint inspections. Ask us for the current coverage terms on the exact car you are considering.
Our finance team works with Acura Financial Services daily and can structure purchase or lease terms on a Type S — including the mileage and residual questions that come up on a car people actually want to drive. Start your application online.

The 2026 Acura Integra Type S carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $53,900, or $55,195 including the $1,295 destination charge. That is roughly $14,700 above a fully equipped Integra A-Spec with Technology Package. MSRP excludes taxes, title, license, registration, documentation fees, premium paint charges and dealer-installed accessories. Elk Grove Acura sets its own selling price — contact us for current pricing on cars in stock or on order.
No. The 2026 Integra Type S is built exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission featuring Rev-Match Control and a lightweight single-mass flywheel. There is no automatic or CVT option. If you need a two-pedal Integra, the base Integra and A-Spec use a CVT, and the A-Spec with Technology Package offers a six-speed manual as an alternative.
320 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 lb-ft of torque from 2,600 to 4,000 rpm, from a turbocharged 2.0-liter DOHC VTEC four-cylinder. That is 120 more horsepower and 118 more lb-ft than the 1.5-liter engine in the standard Integra and Integra A-Spec.
The 2026 Integra Type S is EPA-rated at 21 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined. Acura recommends 93-octane premium unleaded fuel. Actual mileage varies with driving style, conditions and maintenance — and this is a car that rewards the kind of driving that does not help the average.
Six exterior colors: Solar Silver Metallic (the standard color), plus five premium finishes — Majestic Black Pearl, Urban Gray Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Platinum White Pearl and Double Apex Blue Pearl. Interiors are perforated Ultrasuede in Ebony, Orchid or Red. Ebony pairs with every exterior; Orchid is available with Majestic Black Pearl, Urban Gray Pearl, Platinum White Pearl and Double Apex Blue Pearl; Red Ultrasuede is available only with Platinum White Pearl.
No. The tilt-and-slide moonroof offered on other Integra trims is not available on the Type S. Acura deleted it for the Type S, which also seats four rather than five. What you gain in exchange is the wider body, the dual-axis front suspension, the Brembo brakes and the Adaptive Damper System.
Yes, and that is the point of it. The five-door hatchback body offers 24.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats with 60/40 folding seatbacks, and 37.4 inches of rear legroom — class-leading for the segment. Comfort mode softens the adaptive dampers and quiets the active exhaust for the commute. The one daily-driving caveat is the summer tires, which should not be used below about 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
Not on the factory tires. The standard 265/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S is a summer performance tire and loses grip sharply in cold temperatures — and it is not chain-compatible for Sierra chain controls. Owners who make regular winter mountain trips run a second set of wheels with winter or all-season tires. Our parts department at Elk Grove Acura can spec and source that set for you.
They share a fundamental platform and engine family, but Acura tuned the Integra Type S for a broader brief: more sound insulation, softer adaptive damping in Comfort mode, Ultrasuede sport seats instead of the Civic’s fixed buckets, a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D audio system, and a more restrained exterior without the large rear wing. The Integra Type S also makes slightly more power. In short, the Civic Type R is the sharper track instrument; the Integra Type S is the one you would rather drive every day. We cover this in more detail on our 2026 Integra vs. Honda Civic comparison.
Type S inventory moves quickly and allocation varies month to month. Check our current new Integra inventory for what is on the ground right now, or contact our sales team and we will tell you exactly what is allocated, what is in transit and what a factory order looks like — including the color and interior combination you want.
